As of now, this blog has offers from nearly half the states and 4 Canadian provinces. However, we still have half the country to cover, and some of the missing states are those that need it the most.
South Dakota has a single abortion provider to serve a population of roughly 313,765 people who can get pregnant. North Dakota has one provider to serve a population of roughly 272,177. Both providers are on the far east side of their states, and providers out of state aren’t much closer. In addition, both states require people getting an abortion to receive “counseling” intended to discourage them from their decision, then wait 24 hours before actually getting an abortion. Abortions provided via telemedicine are banned.
People in this area need transportation and lodging if they are to access a safe, legal abortion. If you or anyone you know can provide either of these things, or can help find them, please message the Abortion Assistance Blog.
Thank you to everyone who has submitted. It’s been wonderful to watch the messages of support and love coming in.

If anyone in Mississippi or nearby states can help these people out, please contact the Abortion Assistance Blog. I can’t imagine the Jackson Women’s Health Organization will be able to provide abortions for all of these people by July 11, when the clinic’s fate will be decided. People already have to travel out of state to get the health care they so desperately need, and in the meantime, they may need transportation, a place to stay, and child care. If you or someone you know can offer any of these things, even just a ride to the clinic or a couch to sleep on for the night, please let AAB know. You can make all the difference.
PLEASE REBLOG
