I didn’t hate it.  It was enjoyable.  It had a couple moments when I felt like they were trying too hard to bring back the old cast, but altogether I didn’t mind any deviance from the book.  I am still processing my feelings about the images of Thorin being fucking hotter than the core of the earth when for ages he looked like an stumpy old grey-bearded man in my imagination.  That old man is gone now.  Oh man he is so gone.

The main thing was that Peter Jackson didn’t take a giant dump on my childhood which I appreciate.  So YAY

Well then I’m just going to have destroy Peter Jackson and everything he loves.
