Republicans should just be honest.
They see fetuses conceived in rape as a blessing from God and because the fetus was conceived in rape, the rape was a blessing too since it resulted in the fetus.
They are pro-rape because they see it as a blessing.

What the fuck did I just read.
Yep, this is how “pro-lifers” think.
…maybe I should have put the word “think” in quote marks.

The so-called “pro-life” movement’s philosophy.
One of the best political cartoons that I’ve seen.
You know what pisses me off about this? Really, REALLY pisses me off? That’s George (H.W.) Bush holding that umbrella. He was president 1981-1989. Do you get that?
It means that the right have not budged an inch on their ridiculous pro-foetus, anti-actual-persons position in THIRTY GODDAMN YEARS. We should not still be having this argument! Thirty year old political cartoons should be bafflingly opaque, not crystal clear!
^ Reblogging again for that comment.
Oh I’m reblogging this again because I noticed a mistake in the commentary that I didn’t correct last night: Bush Sr. was President from 1989-1993. He was VICE-President from 1981-89. That’s all, otherwise commentary is badass.

when did death and rape threats become pro-life
oh right, forever
New Hampshire Sheriff Candidate Says He’s Willing to Use Deadly Force to Stop Abortions
Republican candidate for Hillsborough County Sheriff, Frank Szabo, said today that he would arrest any doctor performing elective abortions in his jurisdiction. Further, he wouldn’t be opposed to using deadly force:
“I would respond specifically by saying that if someone is under threat, a full-grown human being, if they’re under threat, what should the sheriff do? Everything in their power to prevent them from being harmed,” he said.
When pressed about what he would do if he learned that a doctor was about to perform an elective abortion, Szabo replied he would do what it took to prevent that from happening.
“Absolutely,” he said. “Well, I would hope that it wouldn’t come to that, as with any situation where someone is in danger, but again, specifically talking about elective abortions and late-term abortions, that is an act that needs to be stopped.”
Even if the abortion was legal in the state of New Hampshire, Szabo says that as sheriff, he would not need to answer to any higher authority or public official.
While Szabo has no law enforcement background, he claims his business experience qualifies him for the job.
Are lots of fetuses making 911 calls these days?
I mean, I knew cell phone owning kids were getting younger and younger, but GEEZ.

How precisely does one go about arresting someone who isn’t doing anything illegal?
He doesn’t intend to arrest them. He intends to shoot them in the head under the guise of “deadly force” because they are a threat to fetuses.
You can’t arrest someone if you kill them.
I just want to reiterate something that I did not put in my original reblog: This guy is a terrorist and he is running for a position in which he would be given weapons and the authority to use them.
This man is a terrorist. His goal is to scare and threaten abortion providers up to the point of killing them in order to stop them from providing abortions.
He is a terrorist.

If I could double-bold HE IS A TERRORIST I would

The money deferred from the Planned Parenthood clinics will be directed toward county-sponsored health departments that do not offer abortion services. The approved budget only further burdens North Carolinian women already saddled with a host of anti-choice legislation, ranging from abortion refusal clauses for doctors, nurses and health care facilities to denying low-income women state medical assistance for elective abortion procedures.
Conservatives are always going on about how liberals take attention away from issues like the economy and focus too much on LGBT rights, women’s rights, etc., but they are the ones that spend all of their time and energy on trying to take our rights away, from reproductive rights to the right to marry.
I don’t understand how they think taking funding away from Planned Parenthood, which provides important services (not just abortions) to low-income and uninsured women, is going to do any good. I just don’t understand it.

To say a child is unwanted says nothing about the child, but it says much about the person who does not want his or her child…
Jean Staker Garton, co-founder and president of the national organization Lutherans for Life (via prolife4ever)
Yeah, fuck realism. Every child is a happy little Hitler-white chubby boy that frolics in fields with puppy dogs with a well-off career father and a happy housewife mother.
(via unfriendlyatheist)
To say a child is unwanted before it’s even actualized and even pretending that it’s on the same level as saying a child that is already born and living is unwanted is a whole bunch of delusional fuckery. But “delusional fuckery” seems to be the anti-choice movement’s personal anthem, so.
