Hey Michele! The ACLU heard your claim that they’re running the CIA.

Here are some famous quotes from Michele Bachmann:
1. “I find it interesting that it was back in the 1970s that the swine flu broke out under another… Democrat president, Jimmy Carter. I’m not blaming this on President Obama, I just think it’s an interesting coincidence.” – Bachmann, on the 1976 Swine Flu outbreak that happened when Gerald Ford, a Republican, was president. April 2009
2. “There are hundreds and hundreds of scientists, many of them holding Nobel Prizes, who believe in intelligent design.” October, 2006
3. “Carbon dioxide is portrayed as harmful. But there isn’t even one study that can be produced that shows that carbon dioxide is a harmful gas.” April, 2009
4. “If we took away the minimum wage – if conceivably it was gone – we could potentially virtually wipe out unemployment completely because we would be able to offer jobs at whatever level.” January, 2005
5. “This is not funny. It’s a very sad life. It’s part of Satan, I think, to say that this is gay.” Bachmann on homosexuality. May. 2004
6. “Does that mean that someone’s 13-year-old daughter could walk into a sex clinic, have a pregnancy test done, be taken away to the local Planned Parenthood abortion clinic, have their abortion, be back and go home on the school bus? That night, mom and dad are never the wiser.” – Bachmann on health care reform’s potential to dupe parents, October 2009.
I read the last one & was like “Yeah, it’d be awesome if abortions/clinics were that accessible.” also lol @ “sex clinic”
Oh my god she is soooooo ignorant!!!!!!! Ahahahahaha
Just…wow.
1) That picture will haunt my dreams.
2) What’s a sex clinic?

Michele Bachmann.
Batshit Christian Dominionist Lunatic and Incomprehensible Fuckwit.
(and did I mention she’s unqualified to scrub the toilets in my two businesses?)
During a press availability following a speech in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, Friday, Michele Bachmann was asked about a narrative that hasn’t gone away during the seven weeks she has been a presidential candidate: verbal gaffes.
“When you speak six times a day, slip-ups can occur,” Bachmann said. […]
**So here’s the thing…she called Russia the Soviet Union, she wished Elvis a Happy Birthday on the 34th anniversary of his death, she said the first shots of the Revolutionary War were fired in New Hampshire and not Massachusetts and she said that ENRON was shut down because they didn’t pay their bills…when Enron was actually shut down because the company executives were sent to prison amid a fraud scandal.
So Bachmann says she’s making these mistakes because of her busy schedule. I guess she will do MUCH BETTER when she’s elected President. Because the President is never busy…. Right?
Of course, when it gets right down to it, her speech mistakes aren’t the issue with Michele Bachmann. It’s her stand on the issues. And in that regard, she’s radical & extremist to the far-far right wing.**
An old proverb comes to mind…
“He who cannot dance places his blame upon the floor.”

Americans have a long, proud history of adopting titles that they didn’t earn. Think Dr. Pepper, Doctor Octagon, and Dr. Laura. You can add Michele Bachmann to that list. As Tim Murphy reports, the Minnesota congresswoman spent five years touring the state in the late ’90s and early ’00s under the name “Dr. Michele Bachmann”—although she never obtained nor sought a Ph.D.
Yep, she’s not a congresswoman but she plays one on TV, too.
Minnesota, back me up here, bros. What has she done for you lately? Or ever?
I mean besides embarrass you; that much is obvious.
To many Christians their immense privilege seems invisible. They don’t understand how much of our society panders to their unspoken power. The churches on every corner, the holidays and celebrations structured around Christian dates, the pandering of politicians, the ceremonial deism that acts as a placeholder for state-sponsored religion. Even our vernacular is colored by Christianity: “God bless you,” “we’ll pray for you,” “I’m in heaven,” or even “go to hell.” Yet despite this, many Christians, particularly conservative Christians, have a major investment in seeing themselves as part of a persecuted minority. This was reinforced for me in the comments section of a recent post at the journalism commentary site Get Religion. There, I was informed that Michele Bachmann was part of a religious minority, and that due to mainstream media criticism “one has to speculate that perhaps Christians are a small minority in the United States.”
Where does this inaccurate perspective come from? How can a group see itself as a minority when it holds so much power?

I would call all of Congress back into Washington, and I would say this: “We will get that triple A credit rating back.” And this is what we’ll do: we’ll announce to the markets that in no case will we default; we’ll pay our men and women in the military; we’ll make sure all senior citizens that are currently on entitlements get their checks — but we know the entitlements are destroying the country, the system, in its current form. So we’re going to reform it, modernize it, because my mom is 80 years old. My stepdad is 87. I love senior citizens.
MICHELE BACHMANN, GOP presidential hopeful, having her cake and eating it too, and full of sound and fury signifying nothing, and lots of other puffery, on Face The Nation. (via inothernews)
The very word “entitlements” implies that they are undeserved benefits. Because, ya know, old people don’t deserve to withdraw from that account they’ve been paying into for most of their working lives.

My parents are old, therefore I clearly love old people!
Also I just don’t think that Michele Bachmann has a single thought in her head that is anything close to “modernization.”
ALSO! There is no way S&P will give us a AAA rating again unless you raise revenues! They said this in their report when we were downgraded:
Compared with previous projections, our revised base case scenario now assumes that the 2001 and 2003 tax cuts, due to expire by the end of 2012, remain in place. We have changed our assumption on this because the majority of Republicans in Congress continue to resist any measure that would raise revenues, a position we believe Congress reinforced by passing the act.
So in a related story Michele Bachmann continues be full of shit.

And this surprises who? Not me. Ugh, I never thought anyone could annoy me more than Palin, but I WAS WRONG.

GOP presidential candidates Michele Bachmann and Tim Pawlenty were challenged by a gay teen at the Iowa State Fair on Friday.
At The Des Moines Register’s “soapbox” venue, 17-year-old Gabe Aderhold asked Pawlenty, the former governor of Minnesota, when he was going to support gay marriage.
“I thought the country was about life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness for everyone, no exceptions,” he asked. “Tim Pawlenty, I want to know: When will you stand up for me?”
Pawlenty responded: “The relationship between a man and a woman in a traditional marriage is important to our country, our society, our culture. I think it should remain elevated, not just in our words, but under our laws – that’s why I’ve supported laws, in fact have authored laws, to maintain marriage as between a man and a woman.”
The scrappy teen, however, continued, asking, “Why is government getting involved in our marriages?” and “Do you think I’m a second-class citizen?”
“We’re just going to have a respectful disagreement, sir,” Pawlenty replied. (The video is embedded in the right panel of this page.)
Aderhold also heckled Minnesota Rep. Michele Bachmann, who spoke for only 3 minutes and did not take questions.
“You treat me like a second-class citizen,” he shouted. “Shame on you.”
“You can’t pray away the gay,” he screamed at Bachmann’s husband, Marcus Bachmann, a reference to allegations that the couple’s Christian counseling centers run by Marcus attempt to “cure” gay people.
Gabe Aderhold is an incredibly brave BAMF. That is all.

What really happens in the office of Marcus Bachmann, praying away the gay.
A great investigative story by ABC probing into what really happens behind closed doors in the office of Marcus Bachmann, the husband of Michele Bachmann.
Everyone should see this.
