UPS Halts Boy Scout Donations Over Anti-Gay Policy

More bad news for the Boy Scouts of America (BSA), as a major donor has announced plans to sever funding to the organization on account of a controversial anti-gay policy.

The United Parcel Service (UPS), Inc. will soon adopt a non-discrimination policy that disqualifies the BSA from future funding, the Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD) reports. UPS follows the Intel Foundation in withdrawing corporate sponsorship from the BSA, GLAAD officials note in an email statement.

“UPS and The UPS Foundation do not discriminate against any person or organization with regard to categories protected by applicable law, as well as other categories protected by UPS and The UPS Foundation in our own policies,” UPS officials note on the company’s website. “These include, but are not limited to race, gender, national origin, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, veteran or military status, pregnancy, age and religion.”

Gay, HIV patient denied medication, visitors ‘for going against God’s will’

Denying a sick person medicine: totally within God’s will.

This is disgusting and that doctor should be investigated by the health board int hat state and have their license revoked immediately.

Patients with HIV cannot afford to miss doses of their medication because it risks the virus becoming resistant to it if they do. It is imperative that HIV positive patients take their medications at specified times every day. This doctor was grossly negligent and discriminatory and their actions could have caused serious health problems with this patient.

And the nurses who allowed this to happen should also be investigated. Someone should have reported this doctor and I wouldn’t be surprised if this kind of behavior has happened before with that particular doctor.

Absolutely disgusting.

That doctor needs to have her license revoked.

IT’S TRUE. Why do we allow people to get away with this shit in the most dangerous fucking area possible where people’s LIVES are at stake when we don’t at any other fucking level!? Wtf, America? No one else does this. It’s abhorrent and fucking backward that this is the type of country we apparently want to be.

I don’t have words to even begin to describe how disgusting this is.

I’m really proud of myself and hope that I can keep it up. I’m also incredibly grateful for the support and help I’ve gotten from everyone and want to thank you all.  I’m still selling things, if anyone is interested. I have a blue classic Nintendo DS WITH a charging cable, and a silver classic Nintendo DS WITH a charging cable. WA Senate approves gay marriage bill; house next

One step closer to marriage equality in my state: the gay marriage bill was approved by the Senate in a 28-21 vote, a larger margin than expected and with no ridiculous amendments tacked to it.

I could not be more proud of our legislature at this moment, and that’s not a compliment I hand out often. 

Now it just needs to pass in the house (where it is expected to pass easily).
