rgfellows: chibinosferatu: The thing that gets me the most about this is that everyone on the subway is either on their smartphones or listening to their Ipods, trapped in their own personal worlds. Steve doesn’t even get the chance to talk or communicate with anyone because of all the modern barriers we have set up that breed isolation. He literally can’t communicate with anyone. He’s in a subway car full of people and yet, he’s all alone because he can not adapt to modern society. You can almost sense him waiting, hoping for someone to look up and strike up a conversation with him like how they used to.Then there is Steve himself. He’s fidgeting and awkward and clearly unsure of himself. He’s lost. He’s got the body of the hero Captain America but in his heart and his mind he’s once again the 90 LB asthmatic. The insignificant little kid from Brooklyn who’s out of place in the big world.
