I need everyone to understand the importance of this documentary. It’s about the significance of often under-represented Black and Latin@ martial artists that have made great contributions to the martial arts community after being influenced by Bruce Lee and other classic martial arts cinema.
“Blvd. Warriors” is currently in production. Please click here or the poster to find out more about the film and how you can help complete it. Please click through to be a fan of the movie on Facebook to get more updates and REPOST to spread the word!
From the producer/director Rene Carson:

Blvd. Warriors tells the story of how urban youth embraced Asian martial arts through military service overseas, inner-city community centers, and films that featured Asian fighting styles. The film also discusses a series of historical events that helped shape the creative cultural expression of urban communities throughout the U.S., and how those events laid the foundation for many multi-billion dollar pop culture industries, such as MMA, the modern martial arts action film genre, hip hop, and much more.
